CalparLink-T1S
In developmentNetwork traffic.
External events.
One test record.
Portable 10BASE-T1S capture and debugging.
CalparLink-T1S is being developed for repeated T1S bring-up, software checks, and fault investigation. It combines network recording, external digital-event timing, and a desktop workflow in one focused tool.
A test instrument, not just an adapter. The planned workflow combines network capture with external digital-event timing and saved-session review, beyond a conventional USB Ethernet adapter or general-purpose packet sniffer. Analog measurements still need an oscilloscope; physical-layer compliance testing needs a compliance analyzer.
Desktop software
From capture
to understanding.
Planned desktop support
- Windows
- macOS
- Linux
The desktop application is being developed alongside the hardware, with network traffic and external events in one review workflow.
Set up the local interface and save the settings for a repeatable test. Record to microSD or stream over USB, then review traffic alongside external events. Compare a saved run with a baseline before exporting relevant data or reports.
Core software included. The core capture and review application is planned to be included with the hardware.
Local by default. Basic recording and review are being designed to work offline without a required account or recurring subscription. Captures stay local, with no automatic upload.
Saved sessions can be shared. Read-only session viewing is planned so a colleague can review the same saved test without requiring another instrument.
Useful outside the app. Standard exports and command-line and Python automation are planned for repeatable workflows. Formats are listed below.
Technical reference

- Two electrically common connectors on the same bus, not separate capture channels
- Local configuration
- Software-controlled termination and local PHY/PLCA configuration and monitoring
Connections and power
- Host connection
- USB-C with USB High Speed data
- Power
- Qualified USB-C power or regulated, current-limited 7–24 V DC external input
Recording and timing
- Recording
- Removable microSD; USB streaming to a connected computer
- Digital timing
- Two protected digital inputs and one configurable trigger output
Software and data
- Desktop application
- Planned for Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Data and reports
- Planned PCAPNG packet capture and JSON, CSV, and PDF outputs for relevant session data and reports
- Automation
- Planned command-line and Python interfaces
Power qualification
USB-only operation requires a suitable Type-C source advertising at least 1.5 A, not an arbitrary USB host. Design targets, subject to hardware validation. A valid barrel supply has priority; uninterrupted handover is not guaranteed. Final limits and connection instructions will follow validation.
Development & evaluation
One instrument.
Hardware and software together.
Development is current. Limited evaluations will follow technical validation and ready support material. Product release has not been announced.
Before you register interest
Can I buy CalparLink-T1S now?
Not yet. The product is in development, and pricing and availability have not been announced. Register interest to tell us about your setup and possible evaluation needs.
Does Mk1 include CAN, LIN, or conventional RJ45 Ethernet?
No. The first version focuses on 10BASE-T1S recording and digital-event timing. The external DC-input addition does not change that network scope.
Can I register for an evaluation?
You can record your interest through the form. Limited evaluations are planned after technical readiness; selection, timing, and terms will be agreed separately. Registration is not an order, reservation, or guarantee of a unit.
Working with T1S?
Tell us what you’re building, how you test today, and what you need to capture or debug.
Share technical feedback or interest in a future evaluation. Evaluations will follow validation; timing and selection are not yet confirmed.
